The Royal Canadian Air Cadet program is a unique partnership between the Department of National Defence (DND), a division of the Canadian Forces, and the Air Cadet League of Canada. This partnership can be found at all levels of the program: at the national level, the provincial level and, most importantly, at the community / squadron level.
At the community level, 618 Queen City is sponsored by the Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC); a non-profit group made of parents and community volunteers that support the staff in running the squadron operations.
The SSC:

Manages finances for the squadron

Facilitates the operation of squadron activities and programs that are not funded by DND

Provides volunteer help in organizing squadron activities
How you can help
You can help the squadron and the SSC by volunteering a few hours a month to help with events such as:

Fundraising activities

Running the canteen on training nights

Annual Ceremonial Review

Other activities that support Toronto's youth
Meetings are held monthly and all are welcome to attend.
The SSC also partners with local businesses that are interested in supporting the squadron through monetary or resource donations.
